Best 8 man tent options on the market
REI Co-op Kingdom 8
Be the King or Queen of your own Kingdom in this giant 8-man tent
The REI Co-op Kingdom 8 offers one of the largest floor areas of all 8-man tents when you take the vestibule space into account too.
Its height, however, is on the shorter end of the spectrum for these sized tents, but still measures in at 6.25 feet at its peak.
The tent features a wide-open interior that can be divided into 2 private rooms or left open plan. The divider is toggled into position and can be moved to adjust room size.
The tent also includes two large doors. One of which features a vestibule and the other which leads directly into the tent.
They’re located at opposite ends of the tent, allowing for access to each room separately as well as optimum airflow during those hot days.
There are plenty of interior storage options in the walls and ceiling to store important belongings like phones and glasses.
Color-coded poles ensure a fast and easy setup. Once the tent has been put up a couple of times it can easily be put up in 15 minutes.
The be-all and end-all of 8 man tent options
The Gazelle T8 is, by far, our favorite 8 man tent.
From its super spacious interior to its build quality, the T8 excels in every way imaginable.
It probably also offers the best ventilation we’ve seen in a long time. With 8 openable windows and 2 large D-shaped doors, you’ll never have to worry about entering a stuffy tent on a hot day.
Speaking of the doors, they are situated on either side of the tent, allowing for separate entry into each room.
The tent is advertised as being a 90-second pop-up design and this is actually spot on.
We actually had it up in as little as 60 seconds (okay, we were being competitive and moved quickly but…).
It’s also nearly as fast to take down and can be packed neatly back away inside its bag in 2-3 minutes.
So if you want something that’s not going to give you a headache when it comes to set up or tear down, this really, really is your best option.
Another stand-out feature of the T8 is its storage options. It features six oversized wall pockets, four large cargo nets, and two canopy nettings.
The canopy nettings are a great place to add overhead lighting to create a beautifully tranquil nighttime experience.
Outdoor Products Hexagon 8
100% wool sock for maximum warmth and odor control
The Outdoor Products Hexagon 8 is, by footage, the largest and tallest 8 man tent to make the list.
And while this thing is huge its hexagonal design doesn’t necessarily make it feel like it’s the largest tent.
However, for its price, it offers exceptional value and includes some really neat features that you don’t find in many tents on the market, especially at this cost.
One of the coolest features is the built-in LED lights in the ceiling of the tent.
They can be controlled via a remote located on the side of the tent and comes with low, medium, and high power modes.
It also includes an e-port for convenient access to electrical wires from outside of your tent, something that again, doesn’t feature in even the higher-end 8-man tents.
The only major letdown of this tent is its lack of storage pockets. The tent doesn’t feature a single storage pocket or pouch, so if this is a must-have for you, check out one of our other recommendations.
